Bill has served as the Director of Golf and as a coach for the Massachusetts Special Olympics, and was instrumental in starting the Belmont Sports Program Golf Team for athletes with mental retardation or closely-related developmental disabilities.
In 2008 Bill teamed up with Children's Hospital of Boston in the fight against cancer. The concept was simple: take a golf lesson with Bill on any Friday during the summer and 100% of the money went directly to Children's Hospital of Boston.
